What would you say is your most essential thing in your 1st aid kit?

Interested to hear what people think :)

I would probably say scissors or a hoof pick - you? :)

oh, thats tricky!
I was thinking hoof pick, but think I'll get that to count as grooming kit, then I still get a first aid kit choice!
I think I would go for some of antibac spray (think in an emergency for covering or torniquet or padding or stabalising I could use the fleece I am pretty much always wearing!).
Tricky choice actually, if it is that much of an emergency, then really I would just want a mobile to get the vet out. While waiting I would want to feed polos to calm neddy, or in a case of colic then I would want a headcollar for leading around. Makes you feel rather helpless when you think about it as for anything serious it would just be waiting for the vet and trying to avoid anything getting worse. That said, I have just ordered a couple of first aid/vet books so I am more knowledgeable incase anything horrid happens - i might change my answer after reading them!

Looking at my old two horses, when I was travelling with Benji it was most certainly purple spray but with Bronko it was vetwrap

hehe i like how we all like our different coloured spray silver/blue/violet/ purplel id also like to add im quite a fan of my green spary aswell :D

Hmm, hoof pick definitely the one thing I would ALWAYS have on me. But otherwise, antiseptic cream of some sort (spray or watever) because you could always use anything you were wearing as a torniquet or bandage, but difficult to keep things clean!
