The opposite of electric knickers

ANy one got a good name for it? Closest i can get is numb bum

Anyway does anyone else suffer this? I used to be accused of electric knickers in my younger days but now it appears I can turn all but the most physcotic beast into a bumbling dope on a rope.
Unfortunatly as I am a trying and failing dressage riders this is absoulty no use.

Any suggestions other than wiring myself up to the mains? Have checked with some good instructors and I dont' appear to be doing anything to worng, although needing to sit still is something I am permenatly working on. Thing is apparently I need to sit still but ask for more, my mental telepathy just doesn't seem to be up to scratch.

Yep i have the same probs, i have to try and think determined when i'm on some horses or they just switch off!!!! I'm fine on forward horses but really struggle with plods!

Sometimes it can be if you're a fraction behind the movement esp in the trot? If I feel myself doing it I stand in my stirrups for a while to get back in balance which lets the horse go forwards more freely....just a random thought
