Over the last 18 months, I've been doing Toss and Fetch with both dogs and Dobby is even starting to learn freestyle (He will currently leg, hip and chest vault and is learning to leg weave. Next one I want to teach him is to jump onto my back).

This weekend was the Worldwide Toss and Fetch Championship and despite the weathers best attempts, and the UK event as a result having to be run over two sites, we competed against the world and I'm very proud of my pair.

Fizz enjoys a game of fetch so joins in with her soft disc but she much prefers flyball and a tennis ball. She's a sweet girl who loves to play games with her mummy most of all. She was 9th in the UK and 172nd in the world.

Dobby loves the game and despite the initial zoomies, accidentally pooing on his disc at one point and the show off detours bringing the disc back (we could get so many more points if he remembered to come straight back ) he came 5th in the UK and 104th in the world.

Not many photos as I was doing the admin but I love the photos we have. We have a winter season of toss and fetch and a few more weeks of flyball training them the winter holiday starts and they came go back to their second favourite hobby, sofa surfing ;)

Congratulations on your success. Your dogs always look like they are having so much fun.

They don't get off the lead much on walks because where we live isn't sighthound friendly (lots of bunnies and pet cats and not many secure areas) so they do relish the chance to zoom. I do think they're both happier for having a 'job' as they're both very switched on....granted Dobby is a bit more Tim nice but dim at times but having a game to play and a focus is definitely helping his overall focus.

Wow! Talented dogs. And beautiful. As I never see whippets doing anything more than looking cold at point to points, I love your photos!

ETA - when pooed on the disc - did he then bring it back to you? My that would be a handy trick!

Fizz spends any time she is not doing something she wants to do looking cold and miserable, it's a true whippet talent.

He did, and as the disc was upside down the whole poo came back to me 😂
