The peacock debate and the One Eyed Demon

RLF - was browsing the Peacock messages when I saw your post where you mention the One Eyed Demon. Do you have a horse with one eye? My boy (aka the One Eyed Wonder) has only one eye - tragically lost the other to a 6-month battle with superficial keratitis. I have nightmares about his remaining eye coz he doesn't have any spares any more! Would love to hear your story and how your horse is doing?

i have an x-polo pony called Duncan, we brought him from my local riding school for £500 because they were given him for free as he lost his eye due to a polo accident. No-one thought he would be any good and when it first happened the vet wanted to put him down. He was a very expensive, well bred, amazing polo pony before his acciedent and they just left him in a field for 6 months before giving him to my local riding school. Anyway i just fell in love with him even know he couldnt do anything, when i first got on him we would canter off at a 100mph and he had never seen a jump before in his ife. I got him when he was 5 years old, and with alot of time and patience he is a champion. We won a prelim dressage test the other day with a score of other 70% and we came second in a novice test. He is placed everytime out in showjumping and very speady against the clock, we won a 2'6'' pairs competion this month. And in September 07 we came 3rd in an open 3 foot cross country. Duncan, show name Sencond chance is a real inspirational story for everyone.
