very small chance we may sell my hubbies horse and keep my lipizzaner, so how much would you all value him at,....

17hh 11yr kwnp gelding. has been used as a beginners horse for the last year, ridden in fields, school and on busy roads, has never spoked at anything, hubby is a bad novice... classic hands in the air and thuds around. horse never steps out of line and totally looks after hes rider. (hubby done a tiny jump he was looking like he was about to come off horse slowed to a halt. )

with an experiance rider hes well schooled, does half pass flying changes, and makes 4 foot like a trotting pole. doesnt rush or pull.

perfect to load and travel, in a box or trailer, can leave on hes own in a field or stable. not a nasty bone in him, you dont even need to hold him to syringe a cut out (with salt water) or to give jabs

he loves people, and fuss.

DOWNSIDES.... couldnt guarentee his history as hes passport is blank, and came from somebody that turned out to be a dealer. i was told he was an x eventer, with his jumping and schooling i wouldnt be surprised.

he itches. vet finally aggreed it wasnt sweet itch (in the winter,) but now id say it was. he doesnt itch if itch creamed/flyrepellant twice a day.

so what would you all say he was worth???

A LOT!

Not sure but certainly a good amount. A horse like that is very hard to find.

I'm jealous!

hes the most forgiving horse in the world hubbys crashed a gate into hes flank and he didnt so much as flinch!

and i swear he doesnt know how to buck, hell have a canter around if my mare is being a nutter. but he just does this weird stretch jump thing!

hes been ridden by every one, i have fotos of him jumping over 4 foot with a kid on that had never had a lesson or jumped more than a coule off feet!

so seriousley guys put a price on him. hes not the best looking, beast, but hes done bugger all, all winter so needs building up, OH and i forgot to say, you can not ride him for 6 weeks and jump on and go, and hes no different,

£3/4 - could be miles off mind. Very hard to say without a photo to see his comformation and way of going.

Has he hunted? Sounds like he'd be perfect hunter for a novicer (Must stop making up words!) man.

LOL yes ive taken him out for an hour, was to good... no pulling no fretting, went when i said go stopped when i asked, stood like a rock done gates etc. always ridden in a happy mouth snaffle,

ive never figured out how to add pics on here!

nice body good bone, not a great neck and has a goose rump atm, but again, this is all due to lack of muscel, hubbys been in hospital and out of the saddle, max got a nasty kick, more time off, hes been ridden twice since march... hacked once and today in the school for hubbies 1st ride after hes op!

I wouldnt be surprised if you got 6k for him, he sounds like a one in a million and im sure someone is just dying to find a truely SAFE BOMBPROOF CONFIDENCE GIVER!

Would say 4k.
That's what we paid for a 9yr old GORGEOUS Westphalian schoolmistress mare who's 16hh about. Sharper than your boy, though!

If your horse has been for sale, we would have bought him!!!

Sounds like my mare (except mine doesn't do half pass though is perfectly capable of doing great dressage with someone who knows what they are doing). She is an awesome hunter, superb on fun riders, super safe for anyone, is pink papered Oldenburg and VERY well bred, I also have her history and she has value as a brood mare. She will be going on the market for more than £6k, and is worth every penny because super safe performance horses that hunt and you could put your granny/child on are, I am told, rare....we shall see what I get for her tho!

if it helps weezy there was somebody on another forum looking for exactley max... with 8k to spend... i was gobsmacked! but yes he could also be sold as a comp horse or teenagers horse aswell. we paid less than 2k for him, but as i said he came from a dodgy person. we didnt even try him, viewed him, and he was so soft, in the mean time dealer dude was peeing about so we actually bought another horse, then she said oh id love you to have max.... one of thoose horses you meet and just know!

unlikley we will sell him, but if we did i was thinking 4-6k
