The perfect horse..

Excellent, but actually, I own this horse. I've had countless offers to buy him, but as the ad says, he is not for sale.
And yes, he is blind. He forelock covers his eyes so he never sees anything to spook at.
I suspect more perfect horses exist too, but no equine agent will ever see them. On the horse market, they are rarer than hen's teeth, thats why they're known as Keepers.

Haha this is hilarious, made me smile :) It's quite interesting as my boy is sort of a 'realistic' perfect horse - he ticks most of the boxes, apart from the fact that he's 18 so much older, and also can be quite/very spooky at times, especially hacking alone, and also needs a grackle and dutch gag for xc. Apart from that, he's perfect! :)

I have a horse who fits that description however he is now nearing 18 (He's almost always been 'the perfect horse' though....the first 2 years from breaking were a bit 'interesting' at times however lol). Like others have said, I've had a million and one offers to buy him, and yet I would never EVER part with him unless it was completely and utterly unavoidable and even then I'm sure I'd not sell him, I'd find another option.

However, I also find him a little boring nowadays as I know him so well and he's not really a challenge, thus I've got my spritely WB to keep me on my toes and Lewi has a lovely Part loaner who rides him a few days a week and my OH rides him the rest of the time (he taught my OH to ride from scratch!)

I just saw that because my friend posted it on FB. The perfect horse does exist - other than that mine is older than they described and only 14hh - she is exactly like they said. Oh and my friend is selling hers who is 13.2 and pretty much exactly that bombproof (just maybe not to clip). He won't go to a dealer though.

I love this, when we were looking for Fany I rang the dealer who we bought Cappy off of and he basically said all that to me! Actually apart from the hunting and jumping, she can but only tiny weeny jumps, and of course being a mare it pretty much is her! And NO she is not boring, she has opinions and is stubborn given the chance but she also trustworthy, so much so that my YO used to pop her little niece on Fany when she was doing up and Fany never moved.

I have 2 perfect horses - lucky me!

They do dressage with me, take tiny kids hacking off the lead rein, go in the school with my totally novice boyfriend and put up with him learning rising trot, are bomb proof in traffic, clip, catch, box, shoe and have no vices.. oh, but neither will jump a twig, one has no mouth and both are 20, hehe!

Nevertheless, neither are for sale, one is homebred and has never been anywhere without me, both will stay here until the end of their days.

Like it! Have to confess I recognised a couple of things in there :) Hopefully I am not a bit more savvy now and realise I'm only after something that is 'perfect' for me! Which is ridiculous as I have a damn near perfect schoolmaster of my own but he has the good sense not to want to jump whopping great hunt fences when he can go round them much more easily !!
