I was just wondering what makes the perfect loaner - I'm thinking that many people loan out horses because they simple can't bear to sell them, they're family friends, or as in my case, home bred. So when vetting a loaner, what do you look for - perfect yard, lots of work, a loving home, maybe if loaning out a small pony then numerous small children of varying sizes!? Because mine is only 4, I would hope for a competant mother, and enthusiastic child, to ensure lots of varied work ( I don't think I'll ever find this combo though!). I think it would be interesting for loaners and loanees to see what is required!
