I have owmed my present horse for about 18 months and for that time he would not stand still to be mounted. Some days he was worse than others and on more than one occasion I had to walk home when I failed to mount after getting off on a hack. My friend suggested that I give him a polo when I mountedand I was reluctant to try this as I did not want to hand feed him a lot of treets so I just persevered with putting him back in place and trying to mount again and if he moved backing him to where we started from and trying again. Then I tried the polo. Within 2 days I had a horse that stood like a rock to be mounted and now I can re mount on a hack with loopy reins anywhere.

:D Magic things, Polo's!;):D

My YO can't get over the fact that I feed Merlin the occasional Mint with the Hole. It's not done here (Germany) to give a horse anything (other than carrots, apples and dried bread) which we humans might eat. :( So my coblet is incredibly big-headed when it comes to mints, as he's the only one who gets them!:D
