These are the puppies who were reabsorbed, then scanned without heartbeats, then were dead and not moving on Friday and were finally born on Saturday night, thankfully due to my sisters lack of veterinary knowledge and the reasoning that dead puppies dont grow, and my ability to feel the puppies moving we decided to ignore all three vets! Proud mummy Luna:D

The vets missed 5 puppies  When were they scanned, I know 28 days is supposed to be the ideal time. Gorgeous pups, Luna looks very proud, if tired.

Wow, liveliest bunch of dead puppies I've ever seen - and hungriest too! :D

Well done Luna, for keeping the vets guessing!

I'll try and keep the story short, Sis'd champion lurcher bitch, lined with the perfect dog a 7 hour round trip away, so she wanted all the bases covered. She took the dog to a vet for scanning at 25 days to be told that she'd reabsorbed the puppies but there was still a sack with cells in, and she could have an infection and die. Que hysterical phone call to me who knew that didnt sound right as Luna was glowing so I referred her to my vet, who said there were at least two puppies in there. So first vet was informed. First vet talked to second vet, then second vet rang my sister to say that the scans showed no heart beat. Que second hysterical phone call, so we decided to wait it out, and she got bigger and her nipples filled. Friday she was 6 days overdue from her lining date, so she took the dog to another vet in my practise, to be told that "these are the dead puppies arent they, well I cant feel them move so we'll have to do a c section to remove them on Monday". Friday night I called in because sis was upset again, and they were doing the irish jigg, I kid you not, so how they were all dead I have no idea  Mum is doing a fab job, and all five are huge wriggly strong pups! :D

What lovely pups&mommy and lovely, happy story too:) Well done all of you and ditch those vets! (A lesson to all of us that owner's gut instinct can go a long way and/or count for a lot;))
