because hes now a dressage horse!! Lol
Well as some of you may no goggles went for his first dressage party tonight just to see what happened as instructor thought it would be good to see what level we were at and how he reacted to the white boards and everything else!!!!
Sooooo off we went a bit late as me and mum finshed work at 5. once we got therequickly rolled up the plaits and tacked him up and lunged him for a few mins minding the crazy childern on ponys (SJ was on as well!!) and he was fab so got on and littraly walked troted and tried to canter on each rain!! Lol
Went in to the 1st test prelim 10 not expecting much so told the judge not to laugh as it was his first test!! she must have thought i was mad cos he was as good as gold cueing the huge grin from me throught the whole test!! So cae out with 7 7s and the rest mostly being 6s and some lovely comments and to my suprise we came 3rd out of 10 with 64.5%!! So cue even bigger cheesyer grin!!
So on to the second test (prelim 18) for all i cared me could have been a compleat beast but again he was totally relaxed just a bit quick in the canter and came out with 60% so we were abiout 8th in this one out of 18 but there were all proper dressage horses so still really pleased!! just got one strange comment in the "rider" section - "quite nicely ridden" WTF does that mean!! and a bit pointless???
And the best bit i text the old owner/jockey and he was thrilled as well and said how nice it was that he had found a lovely home!!
so im so happy with the little man and quite looking forward to some more dressage!! and maybe some eventing at west wilts in aug!!!
