I don't tend to look quite so erm, 'special', when I do dressage ;)

Not entirely sure what on earth I was doing! I volunteered to ride someone's rather round, 13.2 mare while she was away.... and jump her.... 3ft on a 13.2, when you get far to close to the jump, is HUGE! :o :p

Very bored right now, can't draw as I have a migraine for the 5th day in a row and looking down hurts! Feel free to show me your amusing jumping OR dressage photos :p

Definitely good fun :p She did a better job of jumping from my random lines (what you get for not walking the course!) than I could have expected, Dan wouldn't have even tried! :o She was also very good at leaping around in the lap of honour.... :p

Definitely think I'll stick mostly with the flatwork though, jumping doesn't agree with me too much :(

LOL!!
I have just had emailed to me 2 pics i bought from a show last weekend, the jumping one not too bad but the flat work one :o i look dire!

glad i'm not the only one who seems like they pull faces when they are riding. Here are 2 rather dire photos of me

me rather enthusiastic about warming up for dressage

I've definately seen people pull worse faces :P

Gosh, she doesn't look small, but then again, you're tiny, so you probably don't look out of place on a shetland (bar your legs of course) You'll be perfect size for Toadie :)

Get well soon :) (At least by wednesday so you're not dying of pain riding Dela & Toad) ;)

LadyRascasse - if I had to guess, I'd say that in the XC one, you have just spotted a UFO ahead of you ;)

Not pleased with your dressage pic though - you've made me realise how scuffy I look doing dressage! Hmph, very soon we wont have a discipline left to compete in! :p

You haven't seen some of my other photos.... o.o ;)

I'm average height!! Honestly! :D

See! xD That's me squishing a Welsh Sec. A on work experience.... shame I haven't got a photo of me on the 17hh beast I rode a few weeks ago to compare it too!

Thanks! I rode tonight anyway, and actually it wasn't that bad when I rode  However my head was killing me while I shuffled round taking Dan's bandages off. Going to sit & chill tonight watching Sherlock Holmes with some ice cream and hope that makes it better! :D

MrsM - Nah, you just secretly want to be a stunt rider, don't you? ;) Maybe the stunt rider training would be a good idea when you get back in the saddle? (carefully!) Then at least you can say it was planned!! :D

*hugs* Hope you're feeling a bit better anyway, and enjoying your birthday! :)

Well, you're a bit tall, but you don't look too heavy. I'm seeing a career for you backing little ponies :) I'd love to teach Toadie some dressage, but he has a sensative back, so can't carry too much weight at all. oooh, Emma (my sister) had him on the bit tonight, so hopefully you'll get a bit of nice work from him :) Dela's not *quite* 17hh (shame :( ) but she's your average 16.1hh beast :D

Bending down makes it worse when I have a headache too. Probably because it makes the blood rush there. Ice cream is definately the best medicine :D I'm watching casualty with Malteasers :D Nomnom. I'm treasuring this weekend because come Monday I'm on Slimfast, oh so fun (and tasty - not!!)

Happy Birthday MrsM :D

Not sure if you can see my grimace in this shot. This horse was 28 or 29 in this pic, he was so hot and strong that it took everything I had to keep him from taking the course at a dead gallop and he was overjumping because he felt that anything under 3'6" was beneath him.

I've caught him in the mouth here for which I feel bad but he was really being a nut. This was the year we were asked not to return to the hunt when he took off and passed the fieldmaster. Who says old horses are no fun?

I would love a career backing little ponies :p So much fun! Tbh, I'd love a dressage pony, although Dan is *almost* small enough :p
Aww, bless! Got to love ponies :D And 16.1hh is quite big enough I think o.o

Make the most of it then! I don't know what I'd do without my lovely suger filled fodder, waste away I expect! Bit of a nightmare though as if I go on holiday, I usually have to live off chips & ice cream, I HATE being a fussy eater! :(

Dressage ponies are ace, and they can jump too, perfect allrounders. I had a tb x welsh and he was the best allrounder I could imagine, could buck going over BIG fences, and I was placed at the BD NATIONALS (3rd & 5th at regionals) on him. The milder the bit the better. What more could you want for a competitive child pony?!

Thats the thing, I have to be on a slim fast diet, rather than eating normal food, because I like *nice* food too much. Beans on toast is icky :( Don't you eat other stuff? If thats what you live off, then I'm very envious. If I was a horse, I'd be a good doer, would be fat licking moss off rocks :p

Bless him! I know what you mean about older horses, even at nearly 30, with cushings, my 2nd pony had to be ridden in an american gag or pelham, otherwise it was more or less suicide, she was nuts! :p

Sounds perfect! :D Plus, ponies eat less, are much easier to rug up, and don't take up much space, so you can have LOADS of them! :p

Eww, beans! :/ I'm lucky, I can eat what I like and magically stay skinny - although to the point that people think I must have some eating disorder or something *sigh*
Erm... my diet consists of bread, soup, cereal, pasta, pastry, crisps, chocolate, ice cream... pizza! Although whether I can eat cheese depends on how I feel, I can eat potato & carrot some times, and sausage, I can eat bacon very rarely.... Not much variety :/ It's rather odd! It does get annoying though (holiday/going for meals/visiting friends are all a pain!) but I honestly can't even think about eating certain things without wanting to heave

Haha. You can have 2 in a stable and if people ask, just say theres only my *horse* in there lmao :P Ponies ftw!!

God, you're so lucky!! Actually, what you eat sounds perfect to me, I could live with that :D 'tis a bit strange though, I guess some people are just fussy though :)You could have a crisp sandwich for lunch on wednesday if you wanted :p What flavour do you like? ;)

Exactly! :D I must start riding Dimples again really, he's a bit round at the moment.... but bareback, with pony style trot, on a pony whose shoulders & barrel like belly merge together isn't fun! Did debate about buying him a racing saddle just so I could have stirrups :o

haha, yeah. I do occasionally come accross something new I can eat - I couldn't eat pasta until about 2 years ago! o.o hehe, cheese & onion has to be the bext ;) :p Although crisps are one thing I tend not to be fussy about! :o

Ta hun :D

Had a lovely day thank you :D :D :D

haha, just pray he doesn't spook, or you'll be on the floor quickly because in general theres not much to hold onto on a pony :D

We have cheese & onion. Sure you don't want to come for lunch??

Hmm, yes, he's fairly good at spooking! And napping, jibbing, bolting, bucking, you name it...! Good thing he's cute or there wouldn't be much going for him :p

Oooh, that makes it very tempting ;) Will ask mum tomorrow and see what she says as far as what time we're ok to set off? It's bloody hard work keeping her happy in the summer, in a sense I can't wait to be back at school!

Bless. Its always cuter when a pony does it. He is incredibley cute though :D

haha :P Okie dokie, just let me know :) Oh dear, doesn't she like school holidays? I can't imagine you being much trouble :D

Hmm, if you say so :p Think I'm going to attempt to ride the monster later.... as much as I'd love to reschool him, I have no idea where to start, I swear he was better behaved when I was 9!

I don't think I'm much trouble either in all honesty, I barely leave my room other than visiting the yard, I mostly feed myself, my music isn't *too* loud.... You just can't please some people though! :D
She did just look at me a little oddly though when I mentioned lunch... she's almost as fussy as me though :o Sorry! The offer was much appreciated though :) Do you have an idea of what time you want us to turn up? :)

haha, they don't have to work when their rider is 9 do they :P

You sound pretty well behaved actually :P Okay no problemo :) Erm, well mum said it doesn't matter coz we're around all day, afternoon is probably best because that's when they're normally ridden. So anytime all day is fine really. Whatever suits you :)

No xD It's a shame, he's never had any proper schooling in his life, but he can move nicely :/ Now he's just a stubborn git who is a firm believer in 'ignorance is bliss' :p

I am! :D Afternoon is good, will probably text you when we leave home so you have an idea of when we'll arrive? (oh, and could you pleeaassee PM me your address again? I cleaned out my PMs the other week and it might be a bit hard to find you otherwise! sorry! :o)
