Me and Sert went to our first Arab Show today
I really enjoyed and me and sert were made to feel really welcome. Dont think I stopped smiling all day
First of was the dressage and I've never done the Classical Dressage before so entered him in the young horse, the prelim and the novice. He was awesome in the walk and trot and had a few blips in canter but he was a happy horse throughout and we ended up winning the walk and trot and 2nd in the Prelim and the Novice
Next up was the novice purebred class, he didn't really want to canter
and leave his new friend but he was SO good and we came 2nd
Then we did the handy arab and the first test we had to do was walk through horse eating poles which when you touch them they growl and bite, so that was very scary. Then he had to stand for 10sec on his own which he did brilliantly
He popped the pole I had to lead him over and stood stock still when I got on. Then we had to walk over the horse eating poles which were really scary and it was easier to go round. He popped the jump and went through the bending poles like a star
and we came 3rd
I then entered him in the advanced and the first lot of poles were asleep this time so he went through fine, the wait, jump and get on were perfect
next were the scary poles and we trotted over them really fast lol. He jumped and did the bending brilliant. In the advanced we had to do a gate which kept swinging towards him and scaring the life out of him, and to finish off we went through another set of poles. He was so brave
and we came 3rd

To end a perfect day we had the showjumping, he popped round the clear round lovely. In the class he went clear first round and in the jump off he did a fast clear and we came 1st.

Then to finish off an amazing day we wan the points championship for the day and had a stunning rossette
Thank you to all for a lovely day, everyone I met had a kind word and loads of advice.
and thank you Judith for the halter its stunning
