The secret for a slim pony

While out riding yesterday I met some ladys I regualy meet out hacking. One of them was admirering Herbie and said how well he was looking she then asked

"What do you feed him to keep him so slim? I realy struggle to keep the weight off my fat boy"

I laughed and said "nothing, He eats grass and I ride him alot"

The other lady laughed and said to the first one "see you feed him to much"

Pointless post realy but it did make me laugh. Someone else asked me the other day what I fed Herbie as he was looking fantastic and they were shocked when I said I didn't feed him.
LOL everyone wants to know my secret to a slim pony, when it's realy simple. Don't feed them to much

My two get next to nothing as well, it makes me laugh when I ask folk who made up horses' feeds before humans came along, or even who makes up the wild horses' feeds. Then it dawns on them that they can in fact manage on grass, hay, and don't need 20 different supplements a day... and have been managing like that for a long long time
