Anyone know how people get their horses manes looking like they just stepped out of a salon? My horses mane is too frizzy and stands up on end with the slightest bit of drizzle - are there any products that would make it lie down and look smooth?

Don't brush it. Tease out tangles with your fingers and otherwise leave it be.
Brushing breaks hairs which will turn it frizzy. We have left our native's mane and tail, only brushing it once a fortnight with a large paddle brush. It's gone from afro to smooth and shiny and most importantly full!

perhaps it needs to be a bit longer to weight it down, and if you use a comb do it from underneath, cos broken hairs on top will stick up.oh and supermarket conditioner.

Thanks everyone! I dont think its the length - its about 5 1/2 inches long at the minute and needs pulling again. It just seems really "flyaway" in its texture. I'll give the conditioner a go and stop combing it. The Mega Tek stuff looks good, so if the conditioner doesnt work I might give that a try. Ive never heard of it before. It should be okay brushed with a body brush though, shouldn't it?

body brush good,p`haps little baby oil.try different things, showsheen good but can make reins slippery!I have got a favourite brush i use from the market.(person brush)

Megatek will help with growth and strengthen the hair. What you need is a little of their survivor detangler - put it on your hand and run it through the mane - truely wonderful stuff and if you are really pushing out the boat, their spray mist conditioner will really do the business.

All Eqyss products are really excellent - get them from tailgator.co.uk.

I won't use anything else on Chancer's very long and flowing locks.
