So I went to sleep definately not until 11pm - and woke up this morning at 5.45...not a good start!
Got to the yard and was absoloutely terrified..me and ponio have only ever done 2 shows before and made a complete disaster of clear round jumping
So our day went something like this...
Arrived at the show - late as usual - and speedily tacked up as the class started in literally 10 mins...
On we get - looking a bit nervous!
"hmmm so I have to jump over these do I?" I better check them out first...
Meanwhile we did a quick clear round just to get some confidence..she was fabby - ran out of the double but my fault for assuming she was going to jump it.
Waiting for my turn...watching others to make sure I didnt forget the course!
So ponio walks into the ring and goes for a wee right when they do the bell for me to start! the shame...I was laughing right up to the first fence
"Dont look so worried mum, I can fly over these...weeeeeeeeee"
"hmmm this ones a bit bright"
There was a second part of this which she refused - a really horrible bright orange spread - mostly my fault we havent really practised doubles much at home and it was a one stride double.
She then refused a skinny too and we were eliminated one fence from the finish
But she jumped all the fillers and planks first time
So off we trek home..
"oh good I think we're home'
" I knew it, let me out then"
"I guess seeing as I was good, I could just have a snack..??"
And just a pretty one for the sake of it..
We had a great day, and now Im going to collapse into bed and sleep for hours
Vibes to the girl whos pony bucked her off in the warm up, air ambulance had to land and take her away
