Not far from me, there is an eventing centre! I thought I would take Ned over there and do an in-hand show :D

I get to the field to get him ready and for some reason he's already wound up! Goodness knows what happened, but my normally calm horse was now a fire breathing dragon!
I battled onwards and managed to get his plaits in, even his tail! He was brushed within an inch of his life and finally he was smart and ready to go!

I called my Dad (who was going to cycle with me) and I set off...then the rain began!
I wasn't about to be put off by a few drops of water!!

We trudged on, getting wetter and wetter, it was now tipping it down!! There was also a lovely howling wind to go with it!

Ned's shiny coat was ruined and I was soaked! We decided we'd gone far enough and we wouldn't get back before it got dark.

Though, I can't believe how good Ned was. He kept a steady pace all the way there and back, ignoring lots of spooky things :) So while I didn't get to do the show that I'd hoped to, I certainly had a fab ride!!!

That's a shame Chan after your hard work sprucing him up. Maybe he sensed that the weather was getting bad and was trying to tell you :) it tipped it down here as well this afternoon and I got soaked choosing my Xmas tree.. Certainly speeded up my decision making :)

Hehe that's possible!
I even plaited his tail :( I've never been able to do that before (my failure, not his haha!!) and his mane plaits looked fab! Such a shame, but we had a lovely hack, even if the weather wasn't so lovely...
