I did a stupidly daft thing last night!!! It was 22.20 pitch black, howling wind so I went and got the horses in....

It was supposed to be lovely here last night, but out of nowhere, the wind started picking up and I just know how much D likes being out in the wind, he doesnt! So out I go to the stables open everything up, grab the head collar and proceed to walk over to the back field in the dark, with the cows running up and down the fence. Get to the back field and D is like 'OMG, OMG' prancing around like a loon. I let the little boys out of their field, not being able to actually see where they were, so that they could run themselves down to the stables (they always run themselves, know exactly where their going) then attempt to put the hc on D which was a task as a jigging horse, high winds and not being able to see makes it very difficult. Bring D through the gate who at this point is spining and doing mini rears and is desperatly trying to drag me off down the field to catch up with his boys (that he can no longer see) and somehow manage to close the gate. Have him prancing all the way down the field whilst leaning on me and forcing me to walk precariously close to the electric fence, before finally getting to the yard. Put them all away in their stables and have to calm D down as he's bobbing about in his stable with eyes on stalks, the 2 little ones get down to munching straight away. Nothing fazes them!! lol then fianlly I checked my self down and realise I survived in tact with no damaged toes, whoop!

So has anyone else done something stupidly similar, or am I the only fruit cake on here...?

Was taking my friend home the other night when it started to chuck it down with rain, so we decided to go get the horses in. Not a great idea as i was in flip flops, needless to say the gelden was so please to see us, he started tp paw the ground and pawed my foot at the same time!!!
