They'd had her out for her morning walk and wanted to tell me that she was doing very well,

and was in fact, rather lively

I think the word "sharp" was used.

This is after only 36 hours of box rest......

*shudder*

(for those who don't know the history, Be was on boxrest following surgery last December, and when I went to give her her first walk in hand, a little way in she exploded in bucks, one of which caught me in the face - I broken all the bones in my face with all sorts of injuries which I'm still recovering from...)

Hmmm, funnily enough I am opting for her to remain at the hospital for her week of boxrest

That's seriously good news Puppy - you must be so relieved!!! Perhaps you need to invest in an ice-hockey mask for when she comes home this time?!!

Yep. Visiting is restricted at weekends to between 4-5pm, so counting the mins until I can go and see her

I'm opting for her to stay at the vets for her week of boxrest, so she can be sedated etc, and for all sorts of practical reasons such as them wanting to check her again on Tue, I don't have bedding in the barn, she'll get more excited back at mine calling to my other mare, etc, etc. Then when she comes home she will be sedated and turned out in her little paddock.

I know I make her sound like a nutter

she's really very, very sweet and good to handle, but she can get VERY fresh when kept in and I'm a right dinky short *rse, with a lot of neck and shoulder problems at the moment,

so I'm not taking any risks. As soon as she is back in her paddock she'll be all soppy and super chilled again

Omg that story could have been mine last year. I was very fortunate and my lad only caught me on the elbow area of my arm. It knocked me to the floor and I was slightly cut and bruised. I hope your recovering well, it sounds like horsie is

Hen is horrendous on box rest too, however it's the front end that you have to be careful of with him, he likes to wave!!

Glad she is feeling better, fingers crossed she has a speedy recovery!
