The vets bill has arrived!

£196 if you took horse to vets, add on another 120 quid if they brought machine to you.....

That's a very precise figure!

Actual bill came to £203, was very relieved after the figures some of you qouted. Now if only she comes sound I can go back to spending money on competing and not on paying for the vet's new holiday home.

Bloody hell. I want your vets.

That seems fairly reasonable, glad it wasn't s bad as you feared.
I am feeling very kindly towards my vets at the moment. They put on a talk earlier this week about conditions of the older horse, which was really interesting, and included free nibbles. I have received the latest bill today, which I was dreading cos have animals have all been swotting up on new ailments to present, and on the most recent call out I have not been charged a visit at all

And they have recently started half price visit days for routine things such as vaccinations, you just have to book a few days in advance. So they definitely get brownie points at the moment.
