Has anyone been to see this show? They showed a bit on the news today and I was in tears, and the blooming horse is a puppet for gods sake !

It is fantastic, even for people who aren't horsey.
I had to keep reminding myself that it is a puppet all the way through. They are very life like. The theatre is modern too so all the seats have a good view.
Highly recommended.

I've been to see it twice - once on the opening weeks at the National. Absolutely brilliant - would highly recommend it. It had my non-horsey OH and Dad in tears within the first 5 minutes.

Ditto the above. Exquisite! My non-horsey OH cried like a baby. I cried almost all the way through.
The set is brilliant too, although the puppets are the real stars.

It's amazing! The mannerisms of the horses are so realistic, the way they flick their ears etc you really do forget they are puppets. I hear they are making it into a film but not sure if that will use the puppets or real horses.
