As I discovered today.
Amber was a bit hyped up today, just as I got on her the wind picked up, and her ears went forward. Didn't need my stick for the first half hour and she was responding off my leg really nicely.
Cracked the canter
It's not the best method, but a kick and wiggle of the reins and she goes quite fluently.
Did lots of trot work, circles and loads of transitions.
Used my voice with leg aids, and she now walks off my voice
and she seems to respond to "Trrrrrrrrot on" with a nudge really nicely.
Got a lovely canter off of her, she didn't lean on my hands and seemed to carry herself nicely. Back to a trot, but my timing og tapping her with the stick was wrong as a huge gust of wind blew up her backside. Instead of having a trot we had 2 bucks (not big) and then pegged it across the menage
Caused a bit of a mess in the surface..
The pics really don't show how deep the marks are
She was puffing once we'd finished and had worked up a sweat, as had I.
For my fourth ride on her I throughly enjoyed it, and felt we'd clicked. Her owner said to me she isn't really a cuddly horse, so when she gave me a 'kiss' (read as slobbered on my face) I thought it was quite cute, till I noticed green gunge on my cheek
Thanks to those who gave tips on the canter last week as well!
Bit of a pointless post but hey
