That's fascinating, and must have been very difficult to do. I'm presuming that they only had hands looms to weave the cloth on, although they would have had helds to move the weft up and down.

I think the owner/wearer must have been pretty high status to have owned them and skill involved in design and weaving is incredible. I wonder if they ever could have imagined how long the trousers would last. Quality!
