Just thought i'd post to ask people in the yorkshire region to be vigilant as we have just discovered today we have had an unwelcome visitor (again) who kindly thought they'd help themselves to our horsebox and old 4x4 batteries along with the fuel!!
Makes me so mad that these people have the gall to do this and i am only thankful that we have not had any veterinary emergency for shich we would have needed the horsebox. We do not know exactly when this theft occurred as only realised today but we think approx 7 to 10 days ago which is when we discovered one of our wtaer containers at the roadside and it smelled of fuel. Unfortunately at the time we just thought it odd but didn't click as none of our gates/padlocks had been tampered with so we can only assume they came in the daytime when one of our access gates is open.
Please keep you eyes open for any suspicious people hanging about. Our neighbouring farmer did say at about the same time some men turned up at his smallholding in a transit pickup asking if he had hay for sale. This farmer has had his diesel tanks emptied several times so we think there could be a connection and he just happened to have 'caught' them before they took anything and they came up with a reason for being on his property.
