Theft North East

Warning to those in North East area to be on your guard.

Leamside Equestrian near Houghton-Le-Spring was targeted last night. The thieves did not seem to be after horse gear as they broke into a container (opened via the hinges) to get tools and a quad bike. Left horses and equipment untouched.

Thankfully the quad was awaiting repair so they abandoned it and they were disturbed so got away with very little. Several in the gang but unfortunately CCTV images were not clear enough to get an ID as faces were covered.

I'm about 4 miles from you- we have had 'visitors' too (just outside Burdon villiage) and according to Facebook, Cleadon and two other yards were done over last night. Little buggers- they didn't get anything from ours- they did it in the afternoon and were disturbed. Thanks for the heads up though!
