We always moan about bad drivers frightening our horses dont we?

Well tonight I had to bring a horse down the road in hand. One car flew by and i had to restrain myself to just a few choice words muttered. The car following slowed right down and crawled behind me for some time until I could find a safe place for him, yes it was a man, to pass!

The car folllowing this man, wound the window down and the bloke smiled and said "Well done" when I thanked him verbally. It was a nice moment.

Now I think the man in the first car was a horse rider. Possibly a very well known one! He was really admiring my horse I think! Or my bottom!;)

It made my day! So glad i didnt do any handsignals to the first car LOL!

I think it's nice to have stories like this. Although there are lots of nice/ considerate motorists on the road it tends to be the dangerous few that stick in our minds and these tend to be the stories we hear about.

Are you going to tell us which very well known male rider it may (or may not) have been? ;)

How lovely :D
It's always fab to hear about the good ones,we hear so much about the ones HHO swear filter stars out ;)

Think it's a valuble lesson too-bite your tounge over the a holes and make sure to thank the good ones.A little good will goes a long way and every time we remember a bad driver, they remember a inconsiderate or abusive rider...

It is nice to find the considerate drivers, and there are a lot of them out there :) We have e-mailed ouir local bus company before now to thank them for the consideration that their drivers show to horses, they are pretty brilliant and we are all quick to shout about the bad ones, so I think it is only fair to acknowledge the good ones.

I think it may have been Mark Todd. He has just moved to the area.

Whoever, they were both exceptionally patient.

What a lovely post :D So nice to hear of good drivers and praise for them :D

We are reasonably lucky where we live - there are so many horses the vast majority of the drivers are considerate of horses :D

Yay for the nice ones! :D :D :D
