With the exception of a short shift at work yesterday, I have spent the last 3 days in bed feeling like death warmed up, and in that time my wonderful mum has done my lovely Tilly for me, twice a day, without me evening needing to ask. (I love my mum!)
Go up tonight to be greated by a soggy, hungry Tilly who promptly plyed me with hugs and then stood in the middle of a rather grotty looking stable with big puppy dog eyes. Now, with this horrible weather we have left the 2 stables open so Tilly and Asbo can take shelter as they please but little Asbo, rather fitting his name, had not only dug up all the wet in Tilly's stable (its deep littered as Tilly doesn't dig!) and had tipped all her water out and it was a bit of a mess.
Now, rather than saying to myself "I'm still feeling like s**t, I'll pick up the surface wet, the big soggy pile by the water bucket and the droppings and sort the rest out later in the week when Im feeling better..." I decide to lift the whole bed! Mum came back from doing mick's and quite understandably bit my head off (I practically passed out at work yesterday I was so unwell)!
BUT my wonderful girl is now all tucked up in a beautiful, clean, dry bed and although my body is really regretting doing it I feel much happier for it and much less guilty for ignoring my overgrown donkey all weekend!
I think maybe its my head that needs examining!
