Hi everyone

I'm from an equine rescue organisation in somerset. We recently had an appeal featured in local newspapers as we are looking for a yard and grazing to rent. We found a yard in Plymouth, but the house we were going to be renting near to the yard has fallen through

Houses in the area close to the yard are scare, so we are looking around at other options, either a self contained yard or livery where the price per week is not too dear, for rescued horses. We will also need a stable away from other horses for quaranting new arrivals. Somerset, Avon, Devon areas would be great.

I hope this isn't considered an ad! I don't want to get a telling off!

I would be only too happy to help, but I am in South West Wales. I could accommodate in the short term as it's summer and could sort quarantine boxes. All my stables are taken atm so rescues would need to live out for the summer. Emergency boxes not a problem.

Perhaps you could PM HenryHorn, she may know of someone closer who could help.

How many boxes/acres are you looking for roughly?

Maybe if you state which organisation you are from it may bring your plight to the front of people's minds

The minimum of boxes would be 5, an isolation box is very important, and if it was only 5 boxes to begin with, we would ideally like to have the option of building more stables and having access to more grazing to accommodate more horses and ponies as the organisation grows. We are in the early stages, but we have been offered the services of a professional fund raiser, paid for by a benefactor. It is difficult to say how quickly we will expand, but no doubt we will, particularly once we have premises, and have applied for charity status.
