theres a strange look in her eye.....................

abby has like little bubbles in her eyes, theres like 3 of them the same brown as her eyes???

abby's always had this since i got her, vets have seen her numberous times for all sorts and nothings ever been said about it, she has no issues seeing etc

just wondered if anyone else had ever seen this??? could it be something to do with her anurism? vessles tht have burts?

I think all horses have them. One of my old mares "bubbles" actually got bigger as she got older. I pointed it out to the vet and he was intrigued!

I've noticed that in my horses eyes right next to his pupils. He has them in both. I too have had his eyes looked at by my vet loads of times and he never mentioned it.

my horse has them in one eye and the vet seemed to think they were caused by an eye infection that hadn't been treated at some point in the past. They don't cause any problems at all.

I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about the same thing. They are iris cysts and are harmless. They can become quite large and if they impede the horses vision they can be lasered.Hope this helps.

They are called 'corpora negra' and are perfectly normal. They act like a sort of light shield to the eye, filtering sunlight whilst the horse is grazing. So no need to worry!!
