The imaging was incredibly interesting.
Horse showed definite hot area's in both shoulders but far more so the lame side. I wonder if the fact he's only slightly lame, worse on soft ground or after exercise, I can trot him up, hack out sound but come back a bit lame.
Would I be right in thinking that if the pain was even both sides it may not show in his soundness but as one side is worse he appears only a little lame? Would the ground/exercise tie in with this?
The other main part was his coccynx area and mild under saddle- mottled not direct spinal and then patches on his rump area again worse the lame side. (could all be related?)
Then the bad fetlock showed a point on the inside and a slight ring coming round towards the outside of the pastern. She said this *could* be ringbone but if id not told her that area had been an issue she would be thinking the lameness stems more from the shoulder.
Im going to try and get this area x-rayed again now I know the exact area to look.
She recommended me a back person to help with the other problems, he's not in my area but I hope to be able to get him at some point anyway.
Do these symptoms shout anything in particular at anyone? Is there something else I should/can do?
Would you still be exercising this horse? Only very lightly, Ive been advised to by the vet as he said its mild arthritis and he's best kept mobile, does this change that?
