Thermatex alternatives

I am looking for a new cooler/travel rug for my pony, want something like a thermatex with a neck, but not at thermatex price!

Have seen weatherbeeta thermo-coolers, are they good?

coolex's look nice but cost a lot more and dont have attached necks

Mark Todd Coolex rugs are fantastic and pretty much identical only slightly cheaper!

Are thermalux rugs still made???? Haven't seen them on the shelves for eons????!!! But yes they always were the cheaper alternative although how they last I'm not sure, I still have my thermatex from 17 years ago!!!! haha (now I feel old!) the weatherbeeta thermocell?? looks ok, likewise the mark todd coolex, but no experience of these.

I'd suggest the ThermoCell, I'm delighted with mine and it still looks brand new (well it's not that old but it's been washed lots of times and worn a lot). Didn't stretch either.

Another vote for the Thermo-cell.

I have both a Thermatex & a Thermo-cell & I would say they're pretty similar, bar for small details. The TC also comes with X surcingles as standard which the thermatex doesn't. It's also half the price.

I have a thermolux - it's lovely! Ebay is a good place to grab a bargain, I got mine with matching bandages, head collar, fly fringe, fillet string and the rug all for £70 inc p&p!! Brand new ..... Bargain

I have a newish thermalux too - bought off ebay brand new 2 years ago for about £45 I think.

Sizes are huge though!

I have thermatex and coolex and I rate the coolex every time, well worth the money - you can get a neck for them but it is a seperate attachment

Thermalux or Comfort Zone Lapel rugs.
Both are really good, the Thermalux are a bit thicker.
