Thermatex..one size down?

At the tack shop yesterday, I spotted a yummy thermatex rug, but alas, was too mahoosive.

Anyhoo, the lady said you should buy thermatex one size down to your horse's actual rug size, as they stretch 3 inches.
I believe her, but was wondering what you guys do when buying thermatex's.

I bought mine a size smaller (5'9'' instead of 6') for my very cobby mare. It fitted her lovely. And now it also fits sisters pony - so she has stolen it along with all my other horsey stuff so I am left with de nada!

I bought mine in my horses usual size and its a bit too big.

So yes, I would definately buy yours one size smaller!

*SIGH* I guess that means you have to drag your way to the shop *groan* and go rug shopping....poor, poor you.
