On my drive to the yard over the past few days there has been a horse tethered on the side of the road, its got water and seems quite munching on the grass. However this is quite a busy road and it does get very close to the cars, i am just a bit worried about it really incase there is an accident.

What are the rules on this? Who could i tell about it if its not allowed to be there?

If it's got water, I wouldn't worry tbh. Be glad it has :) It's not abandoned and being looked after and most likely very much used to tethering.

I think there is a section on tethering in the DEFRA Code of Practice on horses. However I agree that it sounds like it is being well cared for and is happy, so I wouldn't worry too much as long as that doesn't change.

It might not be to your personal taste, but to some it is. Done correctly, there's nothing wrong with it tbh.

Not saying there is anything wrong with and it looks happy enough! Its very pretty too huge piebald hairy thing hehe.

Just worried as it is SO close to a VERY busy road
