Hi everyone,
can you please let me know if 11mm is thick enough for a stable mat to put underneath shavings? usually I seem them from 17mm upwards so am wondering if the offer I got is a bit of a con? Thanks for your advise. :-)

Regards,
Hanna

Hmm, ok I thought so. All of a sudden this great deal isnt looking so great anymore. Finding this stable matting is really a difficult task.

Don't go any thinner than 17-18mm. Thinner mats can rip or wear when the horse twists & turns in a stable. You may get away with thinner mats in a pony stable but it's a false economy in a horse stable.

Thanks Toby! I thought so. Luckily my livery yard offered to order AND fit them for me for £200 and they are 18mm thick.
