thieves about...Liphook area

just to warn people, over the last few days, there have ben 3 seperate incidents of theft from private yards in the Liphook area, Hants. No horses have been taken but padlocks and wire fences have been cut to gain access. a tractor has been stolen, rugs, and various other bits of equipment.

Same in Fleet..... Workshop broken into, numerous high end car parts stolen along with tools. Gained access through the horse field and cut the fence into the compound.
Then they stole from the girls lockboxes in their field.
A certain fraternity are obviously out with their Xmas lists.....

I live in Liphook and horses are about 10 miles away.

And in Alton. Neighbour caught some hoodies snooping the other day. Luckily we are in a built up area and have CCTV but lots of feed, hay etc. Been knicked. Local cafe got broken into, cash point smashed and primary school on the same night!! Lock up and cut the strings on your hay! Alton area ones were caught on cctv mind you

well I suppose they could be but that sanctuary is right at the other end of the county. much more likely that the Alton/ Liphook ones are connected as they are close together.

Also a incident in Wormley Surrey a couple of weeks ago, think they were looking for high value stuff, but took several bales of shavings instead!
