Thieving B***ards ..........

Went to the yard this morning, as we were going to Moorhouse Bsja, sorted wagon out, loaded Ink, off we go, gets halfway down the lane, and the wagon conks out........

Some thieving B***tards have syphoned all the Diesel out,

I was in a right state single track lane, which i was blocking with the wagon, Luckily Di from the yard came to my rescue with a can of Diesel enough to get me to the petrol station,

Does anyone know where I can get a locking petrol cap from, ?

Any car accessory place like Halfords, or from eBay.

That does not stop them though as lorry tanks are external, they just have to cut the hose and drain it out if they really want it.

I thought of Halfords but its a really big cap like a side plate size, ? God knows what im going to do as I cant keep putting Diesel in like this, Its twice its happened now,

I had to replace ours for a Leyland roadrunner and went to DAF spares for it. be warned, they aren't cheap but if some so and so is pinching your diesel worth every penny..

I had a locking one on and they soon had that off and if they can't they cut the pipe and then you are really b***ered.

i knew someone this happend to and she had to leave only enough in it to get to the garage, and she only filled it on her way out to a show/hunting

Recently in Cornwall there has been a lot of theft taken by drilling a hole into the petrol tank direct. (Regardless of the risk)

I cant understand what low lifes want to do this for ? It really p***es me off, It must take them more time and effort to get the diesel out than it would to work a few hours and get the money to pay for there own diesel !

Well if you think they would break in for a car radio, which would fetch say £20 or a Sat nav around £50

However a nice full diesel tank is worth over £100!!! So the maths means they'll be back repeatedly. If you have any electricity I would set up a camera so you can film them at it.
