We had ours stolen from Rochdale 12.45 from a busy factory yard right underneath the office windows and 6 feet from where 27 men were working..
It had a hitchlock on but they just lifted it with a chain.
I was told to watch Stranrear as many trailers went via ther to Ireland, so may be worth ringing customs there?
I do sympathise, it upset me a lot and the next trailer was postcoded on it's roof in three foot high letters the day we bought it. plus I used a wheel clamp on the back wheel plus the hitchlock.
A lot tend to go missing from West Yorks /Greater Manchester , makes you wonder if there is a gang operating.
Hope you get it back but we didn't see ours again..

That is awful - makes my blood boil!

They are just so blatent - they don't care who is around.

I've just ordered some stickers so I can put my postcode on the top of my trailer - I've got a wheel lock, will have to see if I can afford a hitch lock too

I had mine stolen from a busy livery yard in broad daylight and people said they just thought I had arranged to have it taken away to be serviced ?? WTF.

Police said it would be on the ferry to Ireland in all probability and to claim off insurance.

A friend had one taken from down a dead end country lane and well hidden location so they'd snooped around. Police found it (hacked about and the serial no had been defaced) and charged her for the several weeks it had been in the pound. So she had to pay hundreds to get back her ruined trailer - and drive about 150 miles for the privilege in a borrowed vehicle. The ins co were not very helpful at all.

You may wish to reconsider wanting it back

Why are some people such g1ts. Our farrier was saying that if you insure your trailer, make sure it is for market value, which is not necessarily the same as you insured it for. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.
