Keep Trying

Hi,
I took my TBx barefoot last September and after some initial 'trials and tribulations' her feet are now really good....except for the fact that she doesn't seem able to put any thickness of sole down.
She has been on a high fibre/no sugar diet for a long time and I feel that it is spot on for her needs. She is exercised barefoot on surfaces and is sound on tarmac but when she is exercised on tarmac without boots she seems to start losing any depth of sole that she has built up
She is sound barefoot, except on very stoney ground and is performing well. I have had thermographs and xrays done and, whilst they highlight that she has thin soles they confirm that her foot health and structure is very good without any signs of degeneration or disease.
She is due to be shod next week for the summer season as she doesn't appear to appreciate hard ground and it is my intention to take her barefoot again at the end on next September.
Would anyone have any advice as to the best form of shoeing to adopt - my farrier has suggested wide web shoes to begin with and see how it goes but would pads be a good idea or is that asking for trouble?? I have seen vettec products and was wondering whether thay would be any better??
I am sorry to go on but I really just want to do what's right by my horse and am hoping someone's knowledge might help with the confusion!!
Thanks.
