After yesterday's trauma with horsey , and plenty thinking time along with lenghty discussions with fellow horsey friends , i am still going to sell her , Friend and i swapped horses tonight and she rode mine out in front for 40 minute hack , yes there was the reversing when asked to go out onto a different track but she's not a horse you have an arguement with , after letting her stand for a few seconds she went without further ado , she still shakes her head , friend thinks alot of it is lack of acceptance of the bit, everytime contact is asked for she snatches , this can be worked on and praise was given when she did soften , will still order the guardian mask which vet thinks will stop any photic headshaking, she can be ridden in this as normal and jump etc. She is a sweet mare and pretty to look at , just needs someone who knows what they are doing , has hell of a jump aswell. Feel better thinking she could go on and be great for someone , maybe experienced teenager , got to be totally honest with any potential buyers and they can spend as much time trying her as is necessary . god knows how i am going to find a gentle push button pony as a replacement !

Glad things seem alittle better today. It sounds like you are making the right desition for you and the horse. You will find the right horse for you and i hope you find your mare a nice home.
