As the title says really, I am off to sunny Lowestoft on Sunday with OH. He will be sailing all week in a comp which leaves me twiddling my thumbs a bit during the day.

Is there anything horsey I could do in the area?

I have to spend a week away from my boy so I will get withdrawl symptom of not smelling like a stable

I agree, being nikkiportias sister I moved from there 3 weeks ago, to get a horsey life! Its nearly nonexistant there! Pakefield is your best bet for accessibility, but its a hack through towny roads to get on to the beach and horses nothing special, last time I went I was a bit let down TBH. I would personally try Norwich area, I think theres better hacking there, and more riding centres. its about 45 mins drive from Lowestoft.

Visit Somerleyton Hall and look wistfully at where the cross country course used to be! Visit the local saddlery shops, Ashby and Wtretham are both good for a wander round.

Ohterwise visit the good pubs!
