Okay, my other mare (not Lacey) is a 15.1hh TB x Connemara. She's 10.

Last year she was diagnosed with artritus in a hock joint they don't use. She had a treament, but complications have left her mechanically lame. Basically she's unsound because her hock doesn't work 100% the way it should but she is in no pain and is 100% capable of doing everything I want. 2 different vets have seen her and along with x-rays and tests, this is what the results were.

At the moment she's just being hacked and doing a little bit of schooling with the occasional small pop. But I'd like to take her out once a month or something because she really used to enjoy shows and stuff.

I don't really want to do much jumping, even though she can because I don't want to push it, but is there much else?

I've been told even with a vet certificate I'd not be allowed to do any shows (other than in-hand) with her.

She used to be fantastic at ridden showing but I think I'd be marked down a lot for it? (it's about 2 out of 10, her lameness)

Would she be allowed to do le trec or long distance riding, anything like that?

She's 10. That's why they treated her (plus she was in so much pain she was turning vicous)

She could be bred..but to be honest I've got enough horses, and as lovely as it'd be bringing up a foal, I don't think it'd be practical.

thanks though
