things to keep stable horse occupied??

Hi, what things do you do to keep your horse thinking, and generally occupied?? i sprinckle layers of hay and feed one upon the other during feed time and i put an apple in the wetr? any other trick treats or play tools etc??

Hunt the root vegetable/apple. Hanging root veg on a string and tying up in the stable. carrots/apples hidden in hay net.

Radio on, snack ball and stabling in a busy part of the yard to keep the horse occupied.

Lots of grooming/scratching of horse's itchy places.

Hope he makes a quick recovery.

thanks for the advcie, oh no! shes not ill, its just she lives out and everyday i bring her in to ride, and she stays in all day because i ride her twice and her feild is quite a walk away. So i needed things to just keep her happy and enjoy being in..thanks againx

big tub of happy hoof as well as a hay net keeps them munching and wondering for ages. snack ball with high fibre cubes in it - although one of mine pushes it nicely with her nose and the other kicks ten shades of s**t out of it - both have a great time tho!

A nice big mirror is a good one for some horses. Some horses love a Jolly ball (ball with a handle) aswell although both of mine chose to ignore it completley! Turnip on the floor, apple in water bucket and all the different likit things are good.
