I for one would love to see a video of that!

im on it - may take some digging as it was part of a video not entitled ‘horses read latin’, and i saw it years ago. Nevozorov has changed his upload videos over the yrs too, so its quite the hunt!

My older boy is very fussy where he pops so he likes to relieve himself on the field before he comes in.The youngster normally runs to the gate, today I noticed they both walked over to the long grass, pooped, then trotted to the gate.
He has also shown him how to open gates :(
Hopefully he show him how to be an eventer!

I havent been able to find the latin video, despite searching. ? it was very intriguing…if i do scout it out ill add it on this thread.
It was part of an 8-10 min video about haute ecole. Within the video was a russian lady with letters on a stand infront of a horse. She was asking the horse to spell certain latin words. The horse would pull off each letter card with its mouth.
Then she noticed a butterfly dead on the shelf nearby and pointed it out to the horse, and said “what is that?” The horse pulled off the letters one by one : M O R T
? i would never have believed it was possible without seeing that video!

My retired TB was a super hacking horse - not phased by ANY traffic no matter how rowdy. She’s taught her replacement (who came from a relatively sheltered home with no passing traffic) he doesn’t NEED to gallop off a hundred miles an hour every time a car, tractor, lorry, loud trailer passes the field. This has paid off now he’s ridden too!

To go in an open stable and wait nicely for tea. That only really works with the really greedy one (and it was taught by a cob) but the other mare just follows me until I get to her stable.

Yep we've just recently had "Big Lad" who is a retired hunter/steeplechaser and he'll very politely tuck himself into "his" stable for his supper.

Coblet has now learned to do the same. She's a quick learner like most pony-cob-mares and has got it figured!

When I got my current pony he was only 3 and sort of halter-broken. I still had my old horse then and the young one learned loads about living with people, just by copying what the old boy did.

Later on, the old boy had gone and a new friend arrived. Mine taught that one how to tip over a full water bucket.
