following on from my post yesterday (sudden onset on seperation anxiety which has resulted in H loosing his voice) I put the crate back up last night. He has only had it up the odd time in the last year or so and tbh, I never felt he loved it. He never chose to go in it particularly, but never seemed upset when put in it....
He's hardly come out of it!! We did shut the door on him over night. Was expecting him to whinge in the morning (or try with his lack of voice) as he usually waits to be let in outside our bedroom door by the time the alarm goes off. But not one peep out of him all night!!! OH let him out and said he was very calm and happy (whereas he used to get very excited before being let out and we'd have to try and wait for him to calm).
Just come back from the yard and he's not asked to go on the sofa once! He always tries it on (OH is a soft touch!) and he's gone and curled up in the crate!
Going to give it a day or so before we leave him home alone again. Not going anywhere he can't come. Hopefully he'll be calm and happy and the SA may disappear as quickly as it came.
