Thanks to those of you who gave me advice about my horse who was sitting down/rearing/trashing my wagon.
So I tried removing partitions - still the same. Tried to recruit a companion (pony/goat/sheep???) nothing doing. Horse has got himself a reputation!
Yesterday I spent half the day with him, leading him on, giving him a feed & a haynet & closing the rear gates. He was still a total ar$e trying to rear & barging around. Began to lose temper so turned him out.
Then got to thinking - what if I close the ramp asap? I normally like to leave the ramp down if they are in the lorry at an event so they get some air & can see where they are, but thinking about it this is when he kicks off (when I go and enter or get a cup of tea or something).
So I tried shoving him on & closing the ramp as quickly as possible. It only flipping worked!
Today I took him, on his OWN and me on MY own to BSJA. He was great - no messing around. Stood while I entered. Even went back on wagon and stood quietly between classes.
Can't believe something so simple & I didn't think of it before!
Ah well I am
