Nothing serious I think, but just Boyo was not his usual sparky self today. OK, he has just moved yards, but back to one that he has been at twice before and always been more than happy at. He is sound, lazy as usual but just seemed a tad stiffer than usual :(.

Happy enough to be stretched out on all legs though, and his neck. One of his rear hind pasterns is clicking a bit more than usual and OH heard his shoulder click loudly tonight. He hasn't been in any form of hard work since March - just hacking, but some jumping back in the summer.

He is out 24/7.........as when he has been stabled before he got stiff, so I am hesitant to bring him in again. He is in a MW rug at the moment and hairy.

He is 14, so I guess maybe age is just catching up with him :(

Sounds similar to my horse - age catching up with her as my back lady put it!

I would suggest you get a back person out to give her a good going over, they often make you do stretches for a while after which really helps and buy a good joint supplement :D

I ve bought that stuff from VetVits, so will try that and also he has been doing a belly cough when ridden this last year - nothing major, but when first asked to trot he coughs - so got a resp supp for that. He isnt going to be doing any major work for at lleast 4 -5 months anyway, so will see how those go and see if the vet will give me the OK to get a back person out. My mate has the Rolfing lady down every so often, so may see if can get an app with her for him.
