being slightly OCD, I decided to go through all my breeches/jodhs and I was shocked to discover that I currently own more than 25 pairs

how many pairs does everyone else have?
I've included my competition breeches (3 White, 3 in varying degrees of beige)

I have 4 pairs, all over 5 years old and sewn back together in many many places. Need a trip to Robinsons pretty soon lol

P.S so if you feel the need to have a clear out i am open to donations lol.

I've got at least 25 pairs too (including show ones) mainly Cavallo, including some pretty loud checked ones, but as they last forever, some are up to 20 years old!! Yikes, now I feel like a hoarder!

Hhhmm, think I have about 5/6 (too scared to go and count as it is probably a lot more!!). I try to go for quality now as find it so hard to get ones that fit properly, each pair are about £120 and my collection is steadily increasing- they get worn a lot though!!

Have a clear out... any decent breeches can fetch a decent amount on ebay etc :)

I can never find nice jods that fit me?? (that I can afford!!) does anyone know a make that fits unusual sizes for less than £35?

Unsual size big or unsual size small? I'm a UK 4...but also 5ft10.....tricky! RTS, Horze, EuroStar, Bentax (Bentex??)....all do peculiar sizes but can be expensive unless you hunt out a bargain online IE ebay..... Pikeur & Cavallo, eye wateringly expensive yes, but sooooo well made, and rather than buying lots of cheap pairs....I like to save up and splash out on a really nice pair. Natwest is not so keen on this....

I blame my dad :p
I went to visit my parents in dubai and it seems that everyone over there is head to toe in kingsland equestrian. naturally, I HAD to get some (at an eye-watering £173 a pair ) I'm too scared to wear them in case I ruin them :p
when did riding become about fashion?

I have an eye watering 12 pairs....What!

6 Black
1 Navy
1 Chocolate Brown
1 Purple
1 Navy blue/pink check with a navy suede seat
1 Red

2 pairs of black chaps
1 pair brown chaps
1 pair Ariat show boots
2 Pairs Ariat Jodhpur Boots (Black)
1 pair Airat Jodhpur boots (Brown)

All made the more ridiculous as for the past 2 years I have gone over to riding Western which means I just wear my 12.99 Trader Bootcut jeans and a pair of Airat Cowboy boots.

This of course also means I have a beautiful Imperial Dressage Saddle and a Schokermole Bridle not forgetting the full Dressage Sheepskin which was a cool 180 euro's.

*Scuttles off looking for EBay account details*

Ha ha yes its all about the Kingsland, I'd never heard of them until a couple of years ago now everyones wearing it.

Not me though I'm too fat, fuller fillies for me :-)

If you want cheap but well fitting jodhs try Dobbies Jodhs, they do made to measure for about £35.

I'm sure that they are the people that made me a pair back when I was too tall for kids jodhs and too thin for ladies, but I haven't used them for years. The jodhs I had made are still all in one piece, but sadly waaaaaaaay too small.

Yeah, well worth it...I sold a Mark Todd pair and a Pikeur pair very well on ebay!

I have four...but I am hardly riding English at all, as the mare is about to retire and the youngster is not ready for English tack yet! Still got a search on ebay for Ariat ones for showing some time in the future tho!

I do have five pairs of jeans that are 'riding only'....very long in the leg and straight cut, not the sort I'd wear to go out! :) Oh and then some stretch trousers to wear under chaps for showing...and so it goes on...

1 pair of cheap navy Rhinegold jods
2 pairs of cheap Gallop jods
1 pair of Musto Snug jods

25 pairs sounds TOTALLY mad but I guess if you compete and things they clock up.

sadly I don't get to compete very often because I work 10 weekends out of 12 but hopefully I'll find a job with normal hours.
collecting breeches seems to be my new hobby :p I love derby houses buy 1 get 1 free deal

I've just counted 12 pairs of competition breeches, so I am not even going to start on my other ones..... I can justify it as a) I have had some for over 15 years and b) all I wear all day every day is breeches!

5
2 x denim jods...on their last legs as about 7 years old now!
2 x breeches..one pair almost had it, other pair hanging on in there!
1 x cream posh ones which rarely leave the wardrobe!

I have 3 very old black Dublin jods that I love and are the most comfortable jods ever (hence why I bought 3 pairs!!) but as I've lost 3 1/2 stone recently they are a tad on the baggy side now!!! Invested in 1 pair of lovely denim stretchy ones which fit nicely and my god awful beige hunting jods which I only wear when I have to!! So not bad considering they are all I wear when not at work...in fact have actually worn them to work when it was snowing!!! Lol!!

Now there’s a question.

jods – grey/brown check
jods – buff
breaches –buff/brown
breaches – white
breaches – yellow
jods - yellow
A pair of riding jeans

7 pairs :D

I have 3 pairs - 1 beige (far too short and ride up if I don't remember to velcro them down), 1 black (with holes but so comfy I can't get rid) and 1 pink (big mistake as make my backside look like a house)!

i've got my eye on a very bright pair of pink equitech cancer research breeches.. but i've now got a very large vets bill so no new breeches for a while :(
