Well we had an amusing hack tonight!
Pony has been in for 2 days due to the heavy rain and soggy ground.
Took her out for a leg stretch this evening and she was full of mischief.
She believes she has a god given right to eat any grass she sees. When I prevented her from eating this evening first we did a swift reverse. Then the cunning kicked in....
Step 1 Paw the ground so vigorously you get your rider in fits of giggles.
Step 2 While rider is still insensible with giggles SIMULTANEOUSLY dive to eat grass AND buck.
Step 3 Enjoy grass while rider tries desperately not to fall off (there's really only one way to go once you're sat on her neck)
At least I came off in slo-mo so I had time to decide which was the best way to face plant.
She tried the same tricks half way up a muddy hill at which point we turned round and went home. I really didn't want to let her 'win' but I could see we were getting to the point where we could end up spinning round and belting for home down a slippery muddy hill.
When we got back to the yard we did a bit in the school so she didn't learn she can go home when she feels like it.
She was full of it this evening - amusing though!
