Our current farrier is lovely, but quite young and I read a post yesterday that said something along the lines of "if a farrier doesn't watch your horse move, he's not doing his job properly". Mine have never done this.
Anyway, one of my mares has a recurring lameness, resulting from a soft tissue injury in her foot a few years back. She's shod in heartbars, but I don't feel that our current farrier does anything different with her than he does with our others - just puts different shoes on. Or am I wrong?
Anyway, if anybody knows of a farrier who might have more experience with remedial shoeing, please let me know. Whilst I'm at it, if anybody has a horse with a soft tissue foot injury - is it on a joint supplement of any kind?
Thank you muchly
