Think its a stone bruise

How do I know if its a stone bruise???

Brought the pony out for a hack last Thursday and when I asked for a trot he started to limp Not a really noticeable limp though.

It's the right hind.

Still limping today but not as bad. No Heat in leg whatsoever and when I trot him up he can trot but just limps a little.

Don't know what to do an experienced horsey person says he justs needs a little rest

If its a stone bruise would it not be worse????And how long does it take to heal????

Feel so annoyed as Pony Camp is on next Tuesday and I've been waiting for AGES to go

vet. rest hasn't sorted it. you dont know what it is. vet.

You could ask your farrier to take a look if you think it is the foot. Good luck.

second calling the vet, if it's had almost a week to right itself and it still hasn't then there's probably something there that needs a vets attention! Good luck, I hope your horse is ok, let me know how you get on xxxx
