I need 'stuff'.

I don't know what 'stuff' but just...'stuff'!!!

Mr B is with a friend at the moment, so I don't have a big ridden horse of my own at present, only Little Baby Sparks.

I went armed with wages to the countrywide the other day and came to the horrible realisation I couldn't buy anything, as I had nothing to buy!!!!! I left with a £3 garlic lickit, and that was it! [!]

So.....anything at all for the little 2 year old colt! He has a small rug collection [even though he never wears a rug....], own head collar, buckets, etc.

So far...posh leather personalised head collar.....in-hand bridle.....personalised show sheet.....

Help me think of stuff...I need stuff!!!

:o

Haha I'm the same.

Walk round the saddlery and I can't buy a thing! I even bought 2 books - I don't need books.

But he does love his treat football - plays with it before eating his dinner.

If your going to show him in hand then you could get shampoo and hoof shine/gloss and chalk ect.

Any spare money I have gets put aside for a horsey rainy day or if I'm off sick one day etc.

That's just me.

Mind you I worked out, I had £400 in my wallet yesterday, paid £100 tack advance, bought straw and haylage, 20 haynets (£2.50 big ones countrywide!) Two new lickit things, bag of Shavings, bag of flax, new stable rug for the TB (£40 countrywide sale again!) And £40 diesel in the jeep and £90 for the Farrier tomorrow.

After that, I'm left with not a penny of original cash. I'm a terrible one for buying more than I need, all horses got more rugs than needed etc.

I'd still recommend stashing some cash for a rainy day though.

He won't be shown till the end of summer at least and only locally till next year, as sadly he had his mane and tail stripped so he currently looks like a shire weanling - rather than a 2 year old colt! Bless him.

I've still got last wages lying around, that's the problem lol....I hate buying stuff for myself and haven't really bought him anything yet, other than a few rugs and a headcollar! Everything else is a sort of hand-me-downs from my Welsh D mare I had. So I just feel the need to buy him something of his 'own' :)

I thnk you should buy him his own pet. Only if he's really good and promises to look after it, feed it everyday and clean up after it. Perhaps a cat or a goat?

I like the body warmer.... :)

Yep, sadly has matching feed buckets! [Not that he has much feed....fat sod lol.] Fly mask...he's full trad type so don't put too much 'extra' on him that could rub hair out plus will have all the forelock in the world haha!

OH He has his own pet....

Totty....the miniature shetland orphan :) It's his 'roomie' hahahaha ;)

Lol!!! He hasn't actually that much 'stuff' though, that's the thing. I cannot think of many things he actually 'needs'! He's too easy. Bless him.

I think he needs a pink 4'3" cottage craft show pony fleece rug...with little embossed starts hearts & flowers and a matching bag...because I just ordered it & its 2 flipping foot too small!!!!grrrr!!!

I know exactly how you feel...whenever I have money I can't find anything & get really cross...then when i really want something I've never got the £!!! Bf has had a full blown toddler tantrum hissy fit in Selfridges before as he said go find something & I'll treat you...(knowing full well that I would then he would try make me pay for some of it & being horsey I am more practical in my blowing of money than just buying some stupid shoe boots which look like they'd break your soul aswell as your legs...I can't shop just because someone orders me to so let him have his tantrum..which was met by 'oh but you need to get used to buying these type of things..EVERYbody is wearing them they are the fashion...to which I retorted...well I'm NOT EVERYbody...we had the same over eyeshadow-you need to learn to be more girly & make me fancy you more(I like natural makeup & barely any..plus am allergic to lots of it..plus I don't think I need it, if I do say so myself...)anyway..the tantrum continued so I said ok buy me some them...he made a big deal of getting the girl to show me & slapped it on thick..within 4 mins I was having a MASSIVE allergic reaction & slowly changing nationality as well as species!!! Was well worth it! Think i've nipped that one in the bud!:D:D:D

Well if you dont have anything to buy for him, you could buy something for Ethel? I'm sure she'd appreciate it :D She takes 6ft rugs ... hint hint :p
